    The scariest single sentence I've read this year. from Bruce Sterling:

    Our guiding principle: 2010 has to seem at least as weird to 2005 as 2005
    would seem to people in 2000.

    "Herr Professor-Doktor Sterling" is teaching at the Art Center College of Design.  You'd do well to read the whole blog, although it is too bad that you can't flip the blog and read the entries in chronological order.

    Spam

    Apparently spammers pad spam with more or less real text to confuse spam filters, like the following I received recently:

    A protester in a VIP gallery hurled purple powder on Prime Minister Tony Blair in the House of Commons on Wednesday, forcing an evacuation and an urgent review of security.

    Canada moved to make the "morning after" birth control pill available without prescription country-wide.

    I just have two questions: Is the morning after pill purple? And will it run on a Mac?

    You can find all sort of wacky animations (in Quicktime) at Aaardman Animations.  And if you have flash installed, the flash version of the site is amazing.
